The purpose of Interstellar Studies is to study and assess the problems and issues involved in the manned and unmanned exploration of interstellar space. The subject is pursued not only in its scientific, technical and economic aspects, but also in terms of its philosophical and anthropological implications.
The scope of Interstellar Studies includes, but is not limited to, interstellar space exploration, advanced space propulsion concepts, breakthrough propulsion physics, exoplanets and astrobiology, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), the Search for Extraterrestrial Artifacts and Archaeology (SETA), and the Search for Extraterrestrial Visitation (SETV).
